My Radio advert

I decided to do a radio advert as one of my accompanying  texts. I did this because I believe I am able to create a believable and accurate representation of this type of advertisement.

Q4

How did you use new media technologies in the construction, research, planning and the evaluation stages?

Q3

What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

I decided to present his question as a slideshow as it allows for more a simplistic layout that is more structure than another type of presentation.

Q2

How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

Q1

In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

We have created a short story that belongs to the thriller genre. For a film to be classified as part of a genre, there are certain "genre conventions"  that must be met. For example, thrillers usually have tense situations with a build up of anticipation that creat the atmosphere of a thriller movie. To meet this genre convent our group had the victim slowly become aware of the the stalker .when she was aware of the stalker she tried to get away. This ended up in the chase scene and the dead of the victim. This is just one example.

On other genre convention would be the my story behind the killers want to kill the victim. We don't have a backstory show to the audience, although through the use of our writer we where a ale to show that what was seen was only a section of what had happened entirely. The idea to have a writer continuing her novel without realising that what she had written was actually happening (until the end ) provided us with creative freedom when planning and filming. This allowed us to developer out storyline into a more individual idea.

We did challenge a typical genre convention/ gender theory by using an all denial cast. Bout hour villan, victim and writer are all played by femail actors. This challenge meant that we couldn't have an overly violent death that would take a lot of physical strength. This lead to the decision to have the mode of murder unspecified. This allows the audience to imagine for themselves what could have happened.

Overall I think our media production managed to be individual and independent whilst still conforming to the more general genre conventions.
